We deliver the NVQ Level 2 Insulation and Building Treatments to ensure that you can prove your competency for PAS 2030:2019.
The standard requires that the installer demonstrates their own skills and through achieving this NVQ for any of the insulation measures.
At Eco Academy we will ensure that you select the relevant NVQ to match the energy efficiency insulation measure that you are installing. With up to nine pathways, we will have your qualification need covered.
This qualification is competence-based with candidates having to demonstrate the level of competence described in the units.
These NVQs are not ‘courses’. They are an assessment process, measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.
For one pathway it is £900 +VAT, and £250 for any additional pathways.

All we need from you is your learners personal information, National Insurance Number, formal ID and which pathway(s) that they require.
The NVQ in Insulation and Building Treatments has nine pathways.
Depending which measure you are or will be installing you will the relevant pathway. Our team will advise you if you are not sure:
Pathway 1 – External Wall Insulation – Border (EWI)
Pathway 2 – Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI)
Pathway 3 – Cold Roof Insulation (Loft/Flat Roof)
Pathway 4 – Draught Proofing (DP)
Pathway 5 – Internal Insulation
Pathway 6 – Insulated Framed Sections of Buildings
Pathway 7 – External Wall Insulation – Finisher (EWI)
Pathway 8 – Warm Roof Insulation – Pitched Roof (Loft)
Pathway 9 – Floor Insulation
Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence over the duration which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.
Most of the NVQ program is carried out remotely however there may be a necessity for an onsite assessment.
Evidence can include: Observation report by assessor, assignments/projects/reports, professional discussions, witness testimony, candidate product worksheets, record of oral and written questioning and recognition of prior learning.
Your allocated assessor will work with you to ensure you achieve the qualification within an appropriate timescale.
